At the King David School, Library the students are encouraged to develop a life long love of reading in a nurturing environment. The library has an extensive collection of both pleasure and research books.

Students are encouraged to develop their reading skills through the use of the Accelerated Reading Program. With this program, children's reading comprehension skills are improved by quizzing them on the content of the book they have read by taking short 5 to 20 question quizzes on the computer.

Students in Kindergarten through eighth grade have library class once a week. During this time they read and discuss books and are instructed in the use of the library, this includes learning how to choose a book and check it out as well as learning age appropriate research skills.
